  • Unlicensed teen drivers engage in more unsafe driving behaviors than licensed teen drivers. There are behaviors known to raise the risk of crashing, such as driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and driving while drowsy.
  • Other behaviors, such as not wearing seat belts or speeding, are known to increase the likelihood of injury or death if a crash occurs.
