CHOP Launches Improved Teen Driving Website
The Center for Injury Research and Prevention at CHOP is proud to announce the “soft launch” of teendriversource.org, a web-based resource of research-based information and tools created to help teens stay safe on the road.
The design and content of this website is based on what stakeholders told us they wanted via surveys, one-on-one conversations, and interviews with people representing school-based educators, community based educators, youth leadership organizations, policymakers, and implementers of policy.
This site is full of evidenced-based content tailored to the unique needs of various stakeholders. The site includes educational resources, statistics, facts, and more to help them reach their target audience. Over the next year, we will continue to add resources and enhanced features to make the site even more valuable to our partners in teen driver safety. By the end of 2010, the website will officially launch as a fully realized resource.
This new site was created as part of the Young Driver Research Initiative (YDRI), a research and outreach alliance of The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company.
