Parent/Teen Activity: Parents Are The Best Safety Feature

Parents who are getting their teens ready to begin the "learning to drive safely" process may be in need of basic teen driving facts and some specific advice to make their job easier. This set of PowerPoint slides can be used to walk parents through the process and to encourage group discussion. Some states are starting to require parent training prior to teens receiving permits. This trend is in its beginning stages, and program evaluation will be conducted to determine its effectiveness. This presentation is based on recent research, but it will be improved in the near future and made available on teendriversource.org.
