USA Today -- Teens who drive with peers have increased risk of crashing
USA Today -- In this medical news post from the online version of the nation's leading newspaper, new CHOP research is cited on the "other distraction" for teen drivers -- peer passengers. Findings from the two studies were recently published in the Journal of Adolescent Health. The good news, says Jessica Mirman, PhD, a member of the Young Driver Research team at CHOP and lead author of one of the studies, is that most teens are aware of the risks of driving dangerously, including having friends in the car.
