medicaldaily.com -- Passengers and Personalities Heighten Teen Car Crashes
medicaldaily.com -- Jessica Mirman, PhD, of the Young Driver Research team at CHOP, shares the findings from two studies published yesterday in the Journal of Adolescent Health by her team on peer passengers and teen driver crash risk. The lead author of one of the studies, Dr. Mirman explains why some teens drive multiple friends around and then, how these passengers affect the driver right before a crash. These studies pave the way for future research to examine how interactions between teen drivers and their peer passengers specifically may be associated with crashes. The studies were funded by State Farm.®
