GDL As A Guide

Learning to drive is a very exciting milestone for teens. It can also be a nerve-wracking experience for parents. You can help make the learning to drive process a little easier for the parents you work with.

They should be made aware of state laws and particularly Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) restrictions specifically aimed at preventing new teen driver crashes. Encourage parents to use GDL to develop a set of appropriate driving limits for their new teen drivers. Connect them with other parents in the community to create social norms that will keep teens safe.
